Description
In 1968, LONGINES introduced the Ultra-Chron Diver, the pioneering dive watch featuring a high-frequency movement. LONGINES had already been at the forefront of this technology since 1910, when it developed the first high-frequency device capable of measuring 1/10th of a second. In 1959, the brand created the first high-beat wristwatch movement, an observatory chronometer that set new standards for precision. The modern Ultra-Chron draws inspiration from the 1968 model’s design and professional diving capabilities. These chronometer-certified timepieces house a proprietary LONGINES calibre with a silicon balance spring, offering resistance to magnetic fields.
