YANA NESPER jewellery embodies the fusion of tradition and innovation. Drawing from the rich 50-year history of Heinz Nesper GmbH, based in Pforzheim, Germany the designer blends it with a contemporary, innovative approach in handling pearls. The result: Designs that exude allure and sophistication, that are effortlessly versatile, pleasantly uncomplicated, and unfailingly of the utmost quality.
In 1970 Ilse and Heinz Nesper founded the company Heinz Nesper GmbH in Pforzheim, Germany, which today ranks among the most important European importers of cultured pearls.
The passion of company founder Heinz Nesper has always been precious pearls and so he was one of the first Western entrepreneurs to travel to Southeast Asia and make contact with important pearl farmers. In 1992 his son Frank Nesper had the opportunity to be one of the first Europeans ever to work on the largest Japanese pearl farm at that time, that of Tasaki Shinju. As a trainee he became familiar with the whole process of culturing pearls.
Equally fascinated by the beauty of pearls and influenced by their knowledge and emotional appreciation, Frank and Yana Nesper have now been running the company for over 25 years in the second generation.
The most important criterion for quality is the solid, thick layer of nacre and the resulting depth, the silky shimmer, the emotion of a pearl. The basis for an exquisite tradition of pearls lies in the privilege of having the first choice by courtesy of long-established and intensive contacts to pearl farms in Japan, Australia, China and Tahiti, strict criterion for choice and a passion for the beauty of pearls.
In 2010, the company launched the premium brand YANA NESPER, offering its own high-quality pearl jewelry collection.
