Breitling introduces a stealth look for the Superocean in black on black. Built for the water. The new Superocean Automatic 42 UK Edition pairs a monochromatic design with the performance and versatility that define Breitling's modern dive watch. In the 1960s, the new sport of scuba diving was all the rage. For divers, timing was everything, and Breitling set out to create the most clear-cut dive watch possible. Named the Slow Motion, it featured clean lines, bold luminescent indices, squared-off hands and a high-contrast dial ring. Legibility was the priority and gave the watch a look that became its signature. The new Superocean Automatic 42 UK Edition carries those design codes forward with a stealth approach. A black dial and black ceramic bezel create a monochromatic look, whilst the inner rehaut has a matt finish to reduce reflections and maintain legibility. The contrasting Superocean name and seconds hand tip in sharp green add an elegant touch of colour. Broad hands and indices in luminescent Super-LumiNova® allow for easy readability underwater. The watch is water resistant to 300 metres and resistant to shock, sand and saltwater. Its unidirectional bezel features a scratch-resistant ceramic inlay, whilst the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 17 delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Available on rubber strap or metal bracelet, both options feature a folding clasp that allows for micro-adjustments of up to 15mm for easy wear over wetsuits and rash vests. The Superocean's appeal goes beyond diving. From swimming and surfing to everyday wear, it combines performance with versatility.
