In 1952, Willy Breitling introduced a wrist chronograph featuring a circular slide rule, enabling pilots to perform vital flight calculations. Two years later, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) adopted it as their official timepiece, giving rise to the Navitimer. Celebrated by aviators and enthusiasts alike, it was donned by airline captains and even astronaut Scott Carpenter in 1962. Beyond its functionality, icons like Miles Davis embraced its timeless style. This refined edition preserves classic elements while integrating modern enhancements: a flattened slide rule, domed crystal, polished and brushed finishes, new dial hues, and the nostalgic return of the AOPA wings at 12 o’clock. For seven decades, the Navitimer remains a distinguished symbol of aviation heritage and sophisticated design.
