With its long-standing significance in Breitling's history, the Chronomat is a mechanical watch that defied the trend of extra-thin quartz watches during its launch in 1984. It was inspired by the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, which was co-developed with the renowned Italian aerial squadron in 1983, and marked Breitling's centennial in a grand fashion. This watch also brought back the popularity of mechanical chronographs to the brand, which had been known for its exceptional timepieces.
