This watch holds a significant place in Breitling's history, having been introduced in 1984 when thin quartz watches were popular. However, Breitling took a bold step and released a mechanical watch with imposing proportions. This watch was based on the Frecce Tricolori model, developed in collaboration with the renowned Italian aerial squadron in 1983. It not only marked Breitling's centenary but also marked the brand's return to its roots of mechanical chronographs, which had built its reputation worldwide.
The Chronomat, powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, comes in various materials such as stainless steel, 18 k red gold, and titanium. With its four rider tabs at the 15-minute marks, the instantly recognizable bezel and 42 mm case give the watch a classic appeal. Offering colorful dial options, the Chronomat is paired with the signature Rouleaux bracelet in metal or rubber. As with the original model, the Chronomat is a COSC-certified chronometer, providing precision and reliability.

Free UK Delivery On All Orders
We are proud to offer free UK delivery on all orders placed on our website. Robert Gatward Jewellers currently only operates and supplies to the United Kingdom.
Orders placed before 12pm Tuesday – Friday will be dispatched the same day (stock permitting). Orders placed after 12pm on Friday through to Monday will be dispatched on Tuesday. If there is a specific day that you would like to receive your order, please let us know as soon as you have placed your order and we will try our best to accomodate.
Orders that total £100 or more will be posted using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Orders that total less than £100 will be posted using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Delivery (1-2 working days). Although we cannot guarantee next day delivery with this service we have found that the majority of these orders arrive the next working day, in some cases including Saturday.
