North American Aviation was shocked when the single-seat fighter, built in just 120 days, boasted a low-drag wing and engine-cooling system that was considered experimental in 1940. Fitted with a Merlin engine, the plane quickly rose to become the best all-purpose fighter of its time. This pilot's watch is built to last, featuring 46mm of durable case material, large Arabic numerals for legibility, an oversized crown for grip, and a knurled bezel.
