The story of Robert Gatward Jewellers began with the simple belief that jewellery and fine watches are more than possessions. They are markers of life’s most meaningful moments. From the very beginning we set out to create a place where people felt welcomed and looked after. A place where choosing an engagement ring or special watch felt as memorable as the moment it was destined to celebrate.
As the business grew, so did our commitment to craftsmanship. We travelled to meet the worlds leading diamond experts, collaborated with exceptional UK gold and platinum manufacturers, sought out young designers and local goldsmiths and partnered with some of the most globally renowned watch and jewellery brands.
In 2025, we took an important step in protecting the spirit of our business by becoming employee owned. It felt like the most natural way to honour the people that have shaped our story and to ensure that the care, craftsmanship and integrity we are known for continues long into the future.

Our Windsor Flagship A Milestone in Our Journey
When we opened our Windsor flagship in 2009, it marked a defining chapter in our story. The store became the heart of our family run business, home to a dedicated Rolex Showroom and a curated selection of Swiss watch brands including Breitling, Tudor, TAG Heuer and Longines. Alongside these iconic names, we showcase exclusive diamond and gemstone jewellery, each piece chosen with the same care that has guided us from the start.

Since 2006, our Ipswich store has been a landmark destination for watchmaking in East Anglia. Home to a dedicated Rolex Showroom and an exceptional selection of Tudor, Breitling, OMEGA, TAG Heuer and Longines watches, it offers an experience that blends expertise with genuine hospitality. Alongside our watch collections, the store showcases a beautiful range of precious gemstone and diamond jewellery, thoughtfully curated for every occasion. We take great pride in our bespoke engagement ring service and love guiding soon-to-be brides and grooms as they explore our collection of wedding rings and begin the next chapter of their story.

Alongside these, you will find a range of diamond, gold and silver jewellery as well as our own engagement ring and wedding ring designs. Crafted With Intention
The journey of our engagement rings begins long before they reach the showroom. The natural diamonds are formed over a billion or more years deep within the earth’s crust before being mined, then cut and polished and, finally, hand selected by us and set, often in platinum, at our UK workshops. Designing and creating our own pieces allows us to curate a collection that feels truly unique to us.
